The club was started by a small group of friends in early 2014. \u00a0The founding members, all keen cyclists, decided to share their passion with the wider community. \u00a0Rides are not restricted to the immediate environs of Woodhall Spa and have already included trips to view the Tours of France and Britain, a Peak Tour and a York – Bridlington – Woodhall – Skegness 3 day ride. \u00a0The club and website are continuing to develop with developing plans for 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The club is based in the delightful village of Woodhall Spa, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds<\/a>, giving us a choice of many different types of rides. A six mile ride to Horncastle takes us to the edge of the Wolds where many 15% climbs <\/a>can be encountered; there are also great choices of\u00a0 flat routes <\/a>plus\u00a0several cycle tracks around the area.
\nWe welcome all\u00a0 riders be it novice or experienced but you will need to be reasonably fit and capable of riding 15 miles which would enable you to manage a Tuesday or Saturday leisure ride of 25-30 miles – pace dictated by whoever turns up. \u00a0Thursday and Sunday rides are usually longer than 35 miles and may include one or more steepish hills,\u00a0<\/a>so you will need to be pretty fit. \u00a0If you have any doubts about your fitness please consult your doctor and try the Tuesday or Saturday ride first! \u00a0If you are under 18 your parent\/guardian must also participate in the ride. \u00a0Coffee stops are made on most rides<\/p>\n

Under the terms of our affiliation to British Cycling you must join the club if you want to ride with us after up to 3 guest rides. \u00a0To join Woodhall Wheelers please complete the registration form<\/a>. \u00a0Your details will be added to the Woodhall Wheelers account on the British Cycling website and you will be sent details about paying your subscription – currently \u00a315 per annum.
\nFor any Woodhall Wheelers member who is not a member of British Cycling (BC), you can get BC membership at a discounted rate for the first year. For more information visit: British Cycling<\/a>
